Easy Maple Glazed Carrots

A simple delicious side dish perfect for Thanksgiving or any easy dinner! This sulfite free carrot recipe can be made in under 15 minutes and will have everyone loving this healthy veggie. Made with a sweet, buttery maple flavor, it's one side you'll want to add to every meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots about 5-6 medium carrots
  • 2 tbsp cane sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • Start by washing and peeling the carrots then cut them long ways into 1/4"-1/2" thick slices.
  • Place the carrots in a large pan on the stove over medium heat and add water until the carrots are halfway submerged (about 1-1 1/2 cups of water).
  • Raise the heat and bring the water to a slow boil and let the carrots cook for 5 minutes.
  • When the carrots are tender and most of the water has evaporated, lower the temperature and add the sugar, butter, maple syrup, and sea salt.
  • Melt the ingredients together and mix well covering all the carrots. Let the carrots cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  • When the carrots have absorbed most of the liquid in the pan and are soft to the touch, remove from the pan and serve!
