Decadent, Crumbly Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour unbleached & organic
  • 1/2 cup cane sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tbsp ground flax
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  • Start by mixing the ground flax and water in a bowl to make a flax egg.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 and line an 8x8 dish with parchment paper.
  • In one small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt.
  • In the bowl with the flax egg, mix in the cane sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla.
  • Using a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate and butter together. When fully melted, mix into the bowl with the wet ingredients.
  • Combine the dry mixture with the wet mixture and mix thoroughly, then pour into the dish and smoothen out the top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Then serve and enjoy!
