Servings: 12 donuts
- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 medium banana mashed
- 1/2 cup cane sugar
- 1/3 cup butter melted
- 1/3 cup milk sub almond milk
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
Brown sugar icing
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup cane sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
In a large bowl, mix together the mashed banana, maple syrup, and cane sugar.
Then stir in the milk and melted butter (make sure the milk isn't too cold or the melted butter will clump).
Add the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and sea salt to the top of the mix and slowly combine from the top to the bottom.
When well mixed, pour the batter into two well greased donut pans until each is filled around 3/4 of the way.
Bake on 375 for 12-14 minutes or until a toothpick comes out dry.
Let the donuts cool entirely before making the icing and dipping the donuts into the icing mix.
Icing
Melt the butter and sugar together in a pan on low heat.
When well combined and runny, add in the cinnamon and continue stirring until you are ready to dip the donuts into the mix.
