If you love all the flavors of fall, you’re going to love this homemade cinnamon pecan and pumpkin seed granola. It’s made with cinnamon, pumpkin, vanilla, maple syrup, and pecans which are arguably the best tastes of the season. This sweet mix goes perfect on smoothies, in oat bowls, or straight out of the jar!
Ingredients:
- Organic rolled and/or steel cut oats: In my homemade granola, I love to mix rolled and steel cut oats! I believe it gives the granola the best texture. I use Bob’s Red Mill and/or Nature’s Path.
- Chopped organic pecans
- Natural vanilla
- Raw maple syrup: Coombs brand is good!
- Raw honey
- Organic cinnamon: All my spices are always Simply Organic brand.
- Sea salt
- Organic pumpkin seeds: I prefer Goraw sprouted pumpkin seeds. These seeds can be left out if you don’t want them in the granola!
Making the Granola:
Making homemade granola is a lot easier than most people think! It takes a few common ingredients and bakes for under 20 minutes in the oven. It’s also easy to customize the portions and flavors of granola to fit your needs.
For this recipe, prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 375. Mix all the ingredients in one bowl until well combined. Then press the mixture down onto the parchment paper until it’s flat and around 1-1&1/2 inches thick. Then bake the granola in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges begin to brown.
When the granola is done, take it out and let it cool completely. It’s important to let it cool because this will help the granola cluster together better. Once the granola is cooled, crumble the granola, and enjoy!
Best ways to enjoy & store homemade granola:
My favorite way to eat granola is to put it on top of a smoothie or oat bowl! I also love to cut open a banana, spread almond butter inside, and sprinkle on generous amounts of homemade granola. These are two great ways to include extra vitamins and nutrients in your meals. Of course, with a granola this sweet, it’s also great to enjoy by the spoonful!
Store your granola in an air-tight sealed container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

- 1/2 cup Oats Rolled & steel cut
- 1/3 cup Chopped pecans
- 1/2 tbsp Vanilla
- 1 tbsp Maple syrup
- 1 tsp Honey
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Sea salt
- 2 tsp Pumpkin seeds
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 375 and placing parchment paper on a baking sheet.
- In one bowl, mix all the ingredients with a spoon and then press the mixture down onto the parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges begin to brown.
- When the granola is done, let it cool completely. Then break apart the granola and enjoy!
